VMware’s Campus Modernization project consists of tenant improvements to five buildings, totaling 450,000 SF. The first building, Promontory E, involved an 84,000 SF tenant improvement project consisting of conference rooms, breakrooms, private offices, open offices, two-story breakroom, all gender restrooms, and the addition of an ERRCS system. The two-story breakroom included implementing two new breakrooms and a custom millwork wood panel piece that created a “picture frame” effect around the 2nd Floor. The 2nd Floor “picture frame” was the focal point for the breakrooms and required detailed coordination between eight different trades to ensure it was executed correctly. Photos by Bruce Damonte.
